Dr. Steve Troyanovich is one of the chiropractic profession's greatest storytellers and he gladly shares his knowledge and experience in a fun and entertaining way.

Dr. Troyanovich has library of teaching cases and seminar lectures. The title, number of hours of classroom instruction, and a description of each program is listed below. Two-hour programs can be combined to achieve four or six hour programs with multiple topics. Twelve-hour programs can be presented as eight or six hour abbreviated overviews.

Physiologic Models of “Nerve Interference”—The Science That Validates the Philosophy

The chiropractic profession has long maintained that disturbances of neurologic function may arise from spinal dysfunction. Proposed models of “Nerve Interference” are presented that are based upon existing scientific literature. The models are discussed in the context of chiropractic care for both neuromusculoskeletal conditions and organic conditions. Clinical lessons are then taught regarding risk management, appropriate examination and patient management from a practiced based perspective. Whiplash Associated Disorder: A Clinician’s Perspective

Whiplash injuries and the subsequent pain and suffering associated with the condition has created a firestorm of controversy in the health care and legal arenas. Dr. Troyanovich helps to sort out the controversy by presenting the Quebec classification system of whiplash associated disorder. He also covers protocols for obtaining a proper history and examination, radiographic examination, advanced imaging, and also treatment protocols for the accidentally injured patient. Case reports and the lessons learned from actual patients from his private practice are presented in an easy to understand format.

Defining Vertebral Subluxation Through the Use of Exploratory Models of the Cervical and Lumbar Spines

Exploratory models are used in the health care sciences to determine normal values for anatomical and physiological entities. Exploratory models of the cervical and lumbar spines are presented based upon existing scientific literature. The implications of this model relative to the determination of the presence or absence of vertebral subluxation is then discussed.

Finding Langworthy: The Last Years of a Chiropractic Pioneer

Solon Massey Langworthy was one of the first fifteen graduates of the Palmer School of Chiropractic. Although one of the most influential early chiropractic pioneers, his influence on the profession is indelible albeit invisible. This interesting and informative program recounts some of the most important historical and political events of the early chiropractic period and demonstrates how these events have shaped the profession’s practice and political landscape to the present.
Wisconsin vs Chiropractic:
The Trials at LaCrosse and the Birth of a Chiropractic Champion
(1 hour)

In 1907, La Crosse, Wisconsin chiropractor and Palmer School graduate Shegataro Morikubo was arrested and charged with practicing medicine, surgery, and osteopathy without a license. The two-day trial would result in an acquittal and would be a landmark victory for the chiropractic profession. The Morikubo trial marked the beginnings of chiropractic legal strategies that were used for decades to acquit chiropractors of the charges of practicing medicine without a license. However, the Morikubo case was not the first to be tried in La Crosse; events leading to the 1907 trial are chronicled.
